Mission Statement
A. Our Mission
Helping young boys become young men through leadership and responsibilities.
B. Parental Involvement
Parents as Leaders:
- At least one parent per patrol,
- Help the boys with reading their scout books for rank advancement. Keep the boys focused during patrol corners with menu planning for camping trips, packing back packs, planning for summer camp and teamwork during games and other outdoor activities.
- Be leaders and/or drivers on troop campouts.
Parents in non-leader roles.
Discipline:
- Help us to keep order by setting high standards for the boys. Make sure your son comes to meetings in the proper uniform.
- He must bring his scout hand book and binder to each meeting.
- Encourage him at home to work through the book for advancement. 1 to 2 hours per week at home will make a big difference. Participate at meetings by getting involved with the patrols and helping to keep order and focus.
- Don't allow distractions to undermine our focus.
- Don't undermine the leadership. Observe your sons behavior at the meetings.
- Become an active member of the team.
- Come to committee meetings to learn and understand the scout method.
