Stumpy Meadows Trip (October 2007)

OCTOBER 2007 - Written by Eric, Troop Historian
On October 20, 2007, 6 boys and 3 adults went to the Stumpy Meadows Federal Campground. The boys were Nick, Ceasar, Lucas, Filip, T.J., and Alex and the adults were Erik, Bruce, and Barbara. It was a 1 to 1.5   hour drive to Stumpy Meadows. The scouts went on a nature hike down to the lake and on the way down there Ms. Domek pointed out a lot of interesting plants and trees. The elevation was high enough that you felt like you were in the mountains. At the lake the boys messed around, skipped rocks, and played around the banks. The boys liked to play capture the flag in the fields. After camp was set up and they had lunch that is what they mostly did the rest of the day. They liked the freedom of the game. Then they had an awesome dinner and campfire. During campfire there was a series of songs, skits, dances, stories, and many other fun things. After the sun had gone down it had had become very cold. Everyone went to bed not long after that. This is the summary of the Stumpy Meadows trip.
