JULY 2007 - Written by Eric, Troop Historian On July 21st several boys and a couple adults went on a backpacking trip up to Tamarack Lake in Desolation Wilderness. From Echo trailhead, we backpacked 4 miles to our campsite. When we got there we had soup for lunch. Some people went fishing for the afternoon. We had spaghetti for dinner. The next day we went on a day hike up to the top of Angora Peak. We were going to go up to Echo Peak but it was getting too difficult so we decided to go to Angora Peak instead. A kid on the trip got blisters and other kids were struggling but we made it. After that we walked over to Ralston Lake to fish. We then went back to camp, packed up and left. We got to the place were we started and got an ice cream. We hiked 8 miles with a backpack and 12 miles all together. It was tough but we all made it and had fun. See more News and Activities> |
